The programme begins with a talk by Dr. Hannes Rosenbusch, who will unpack the inner workings of generative AI in an accessible way. His talk will be followed by short pitches from researchers across our faculty, showcasing how they are applying large language models (LLMs) in their work. Next, Max Paulus, research engineer at the FMG Research Lab, will lead a hands-on workshop where participants will learn how to safely access LLMs using R or Python and set up secure workflows.
We will conclude the afternoon (16:00 - 18:00) with drinks and an opportunity to network with colleagues interested in using generative AI and LLMs in their research.
Everyone is welcome — including those with little or no prior knowledge, and both R and Python users.
